This collection, titled 私: "WATASHI," meaning "ME" in Japanese, is a exploration of my identity that weaves together an eclectic blend of my heritage, inspired primarily by my Japanese roots with subtle British influences. Inspired by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy, "WATASHI" embraces the beauty of imperfection with fluid Japanese-inspired silhouettes contrasted by touches of British structure.
Each piece tells a story through handcrafted techniques like sashiko stitching, patchworking, and cyanotype printing, layering texture while preserving tradition. Crafted from sustainable materials with versatile, adjustable features, every garment is designed for longevity. These multifunctional designs transform fashion into timeless heirlooms, aging with the wearer and celebrating the passage of time.
